The webinar will be chaired by Brigitte Amoruse, Make UK’s Senior Energy and Climate Change Specialist and we are joined by:
Georgina Penfold, Director: Regulated Services at Make UK Advantage Partner Inspired Energy. Georgina will cover “Cost Risks and Revenue Opportunities associated with energy, carbon emissions and sustainability in the manufacturing sector”. This will include national funding schemes including an update on the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund, key regional opportunities available at the time and finding opportunities within your own portfolio – for example by making sure all eligible companies are claiming for compensation on environmental levies on energy bills. Georgina will also touch on upcoming economic risks such as the potential broadening of the UK Emissions Trading Scheme, changes to ESOS legislation and the rise in investor requirement for information on ESG risks to be made available.
Sandy Findlay, Partnership Director at Make UK Advantage Partner ABGI. Sandy will offer a practical guide to funding your Net Zero journey through grants and tax incentives from one of the UK’s leading innovation funding specialists
Robert Olreg of Carbon Limited Technologies will demonstrate an Innovation Support Landscape online tool. It was developed as a part of the government funded UKRI Transforming Foundation Industries programme. It helps the user search for and identify relevant national and local organisations that provide innovation support. The tool details the type of support the organisation provides (such as financial, commercial, and technical support) and the stage of development of the technology that the support is aimed at. It’s designed with foundation industry SMEs in mind (glass, metals, ceramics, paper, chemicals, and cement), but could be used by any SME searching for innovation funding and support.”
Practical hints and tips from the perspective of a manufacturer will be shared by Richard Hagan, Managing Director of Make UK member Crystal Doors who has a high success rate of accessing available funding. He will share his experience and knowledge to help you increase your chances of successfully accessing funding.
Opportunities for questions throughout the session.
