Last week, during the BSSA AGM, the Board elected a new Chair and Vice-Chair.
We extend our congratulations to Darren Moult of Stainless Steel Services Ltd, who has assumed the role of Chair, and to Adam Bradley of Corrosion Resistant Materials Ltd, who is now our Vice-Chair 🎉 🎉.
We eagerly anticipate collaborating with Darren, Adam, and the rest of the board to drive the association forward, providing the best possible service to our members and supporting the stainless steel industry in the UK and Ireland.
A special recognition is due to Kirsty Davies-Chinnock of Professional Polishing Services Ltd for her outstanding two-year tenure as Chair. Your leadership has been truly inspiring, and we have gained invaluable insights from your guidance, support, and hard work 🎉
We have exciting plans for 2024 to expand our growing catalogue of training courses, hold another Stainless in the Food & Beverage Industry (face-to-face) seminar, continue with our online seminar programme and continue to develop the BSSA website. We’re excited announce that bookings are now open for the BSSA Annual Conference and Dinner 2024 which will take place at The Grand Hotel in Birmingham on Thursday 23rd May – early bird offer now on!
The BSSA will continue to seize the opportunities that a sustainable future holds for us, whether that be stainless steel food and drink containers, decarbonisation, renewable energies such as hydrogen, or the use of stainless steel as a lower lifecycle cost product in architectural and building applications.
BSSA Managing Director, Rob Cooper said ‘I see the stainless steel economy in the UK as a potentially growing market and although there will be some changes, overall, there is a positive outlook for our industry’.
