NZIP Industrial Fuel Switching Innovation Competition: Launch Event – 10:00-12:00, Tuesday 12th October

The Industry and CCUS Innovation Team at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is hosting a launch event for the recently announced £55m Industrial Fuel Switching competition. The event will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 on 12 October 2021 via MS Teams (a link will be sent out next week).

As part of the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP), the proposed competition will support innovation in the development of pre-commercial fuel switch and fuel switch enabling technology for the industrial sector, to help industry switch from high to lower carbon fuels. During the event, BEIS will provide the background to the competition, whilst outlining the eligibility and assessment criteria, as well as the application process and timescales for Phase 1 of the competition. As well as answering a number during the event, any questions that attendees have will be gathered and answered in a published document afterwards.
