INTERNATIONAL TRADE L!VE EVENT, Tuesday 5th April

On Tuesday 5th April the Sheffield International Trade Centre will be holding our first INTERNATIONAL TRADE L!VE EVENT in 2022.

On 1st January 2023 the UK government will implement changes to the UK’s standards and Making systems.

The United Kingdom Conformity Assessment Mark, or UKCA Mark for short, is a replacement for the CE Mark.  The CE Mark will cease to be a valid indicator of conformity with UK Product Safety Regulations, such as the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations or the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations.  To indicate that a product conforms to relevant UK Product Safety Regulations, the manufacturer will be required to affix a UKCA Mark instead.

These new regulations will have a significant effect on which imported, and UK manufactured products can be sold and used in the UK market and will mean products affected will have to meet new standards of conformity and be re-classified.

Christopher Smart, Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is the guest speaker at this event.  Chris will be able to take you through the new regulations and answer your questions.
