National Manufacturing Day 26th September 2024

National Manufacturing Day will this year take place on Thursday the 26th September – a chance Britain’s manufacturers to open their doors and showcase the amazing job opportunities available in our sector. Last year, the second National Manufacturing Day, saw hundreds of companies around the whole of the UK celebrate the things Britain makes and gave people of all ages the chance to experience the sector firsthand. We need your help to make this third NMD even better!

National Manufacturing Day is a chance for UK manufacturers to give their local community, schools and colleges behind the scenes access to a sector of global importance that plays a pivotal role in the economic life of local communities across the UK.

The day itself will be a national celebration of UK manufacturing and a chance to raise the profile of the sector.

National Manufacturing Day will demonstrate the value of jobs and in particular apprenticeships in our sector so the next generation see manufacturing as a future career.  But we are not limited to the next generation (school leavers and graduates), but to those looking to reskill and move into a new sector or industry.

Take your first step to becoming part of the day by finding out more here.
