British and American standards for tolerances, surface finish and testing of stainless steels

Introduction

The table shows both current and obsolete standards, (where these may be of current interest), in the ‘Status’ column. ‘C’ is current, ‘W’ is withdrawn, “S” is superseded for stainless steels, that is the standard was applicable to all steels, but there is now a new standard covering stainless steels only.
The ‘date’ is the current publication year.
Use the ‘Ctrl’ and ‘F’ keys to ‘find’ the standard you are looking for.

These lists cannot be guaranteed as complete and accurate by the BSSA.
In cases of doubt the catalogues maintained by the British Standards Institution should be used.
