The BSSA Annual Luncheon, Forum & AGM takes place on Thursday, 2nd April at the Cutlers' Hall in Sheffield. The luncheon is sponsored by Outokumpu Stainless Distribution and the pre luncheon reception is sponsored by Steel Business Briefing.

Open to all member companies, this is an opportunity to hear about the activities of the Association and its plans for the coming year.

With the difficult economic environment, just what will be the consequences for our industry? We are delighted to welcome Gerhard Pariser from Heinz Pariser Alloy Metals & Steel Market Research who will present ‘The Outlook for Stainless Steel and Its Raw Materials’. This year’s guest speaker is the Rt Hon Richard Caborn, Member of Parliament for Sheffield Central. He has served as Minister for the Regions, Regeneration and Planning, Minster for Trade and Sports Minister and is currently the Prime Minister’s Football World Cup Ambassador.

The lunch will take place at the familiar venue of the Cutlers’ Hall which, as past attendees will know, provides plenty of room for guests to circulate and meet up with friends and colleagues from across the industry. We are anticipating another good turn out this year, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment. The cost is £60 (+VAT) for members and their guests, and £80 (+VAT) for non-members.

This year's guest speaker is Rt Hon Richard Caborn (see picture below), Member of Parliament for Sheffield Central, was appointed as the Prime Minister’s World Cup Ambassador in June 2007 and is the Government representative on the Football Foundation Board.
