The Walter Jack Studio of Bristol have designed a remarkable stainless steel sculpture/fountain for the centre of Swindon. Premier Laser used laser cutting to produce 1000 pieces of shaped 304L (1.4307) stainless steel plate. These were glued togther to produce a striking wave effect.

These half-day Starter Workshops will give you a comprehensive introduction to stainless steel, whether you’re new to the industry or just looking for a refresher on the basics.
The BSSA in conjunction with TWI and Outokumpu Stainless are holding a fabrication workshop which will be hosted by Doosan Babcock Energy at Renfrew. The workshop will compare fabricating with austenitics and duplex stainless steels and will cover the basic metallurgy of stainless steel, material selection, design, welding, fabrication and post-fabrication finishing. There will also be an opportunity to tour Doosan Babcock’s facilities.
